Happy Halloween!

This was his fall shirt he wore to daycare since he couldn't wear a costume

When I picked Andrew up from daycare we drove to Mimi and Poppa's house. We had some pizza for dinner then got in costume. Met the Hagen's at 6:00 to go trick or treating. They had an adorable Toy Story Theme: Andrew (Woody), Allison (Jessie), and Kameron (Buzz Lightyear).

Started the night walking...

Ended up in the wagon!

We got back home around 7:00 and then handed out some candy.

Monkey Man

Andrew is not a morning person... much like mommy and daddy, but this happened to be a good day

Andrew LOVES bananas and I couldn't resist the picture of him eating one in his monkey P.J.s

NOTE: He is eating in a big person chair. I rarely get him in his booster seat anymore, especially for breakfast. There are daily challenges as he grows into Mr. Independence, but it's also an extreme joy to watch him learn and grow.

Pumpkin Carving

He was very HAPPY when we started!
That was about as far as he would go in the pumpkin! LOL
He did like to put his "HAT" on
He was not interested in the carving until he could see the eyes and teeth!

DANCE BREAK!
TAHHHH DAHHHHH
The finished product!  I will get Andrew to paint the smaller pumpkins this weekend.

FALL IS HERE!

The fall weather has arrived in Texas. We woke up to temps in the low 40s with a highs in the low 60s.  It felt right to visit a pumpkin patch today.  A local church hosted Pumpkins on the Prairie... PERFECT! There were games for the kiddows, a hay maze, hay ride, bounce houses, face painting and of course tons of PUMPKINS!  Today only, they were also hosting a craft bazaar... BONUS!

After the pumpkin patch we headed to lunch and Buffalo Wild Wings.  It was yummy!

Since it was 2:00pm when we finished there Andy Pandy needed a nap!  In fact, we all took naps - YIPPEE!  When we were all refreshed we did a little shopping at target.  We decided to get a hat and mittens for Andrew since the winter season is approaching. It is so cute!

Grapeland Peanut Festival

We headed to Grapeland, TX for the weekend. Josh's little sister was competing in the 68th Annual Peanut Queen Coronation. We arrived Friday evening. After a little playtime and visiting we all headed to bed. Saturday morning Josh went to pickup Grandma Barbara at the nursing home so she could attend the Parade with the rest of us.  Andrew enjoyed all the fire trucks and sirens at the beginning and the hundreds of horses towards the end of the parade.  We went the the carnival that afternoon where we visited vendor booths (I bought a cute wooden/iron cross for my wall collection) and we had a little BBQ for lunch.  Carnival was short lived because there was a thunderstorm headed our way. Josh and I threw Andrew in the stroller and speed walked all the way back to the house -- we made it just in time.  We lost the James crew at the carnival... they weren't so lucky to make it back in time - They were soaked!!!!  That evening, the adults attended the Peanut Queen Coronation while a Dixie (James' kids grandmother) stayed with the little ones.  Unfortunately, Mary didn't win, but she certainly had fun competing and we had fun watching!  Sunday we made muffins for breakfast and stayed around the house visiting. We headed home shortly after lunch. Here are some pics!
